Updates from the Road: Little Luxuries of KL

Ah, I've hit civilization! Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful city and plays host to little luxuries I've missed in the past couple months. I'm traveling with my friend Lauren and upon arrival to the KL airport we treated ourselves to a snack of McDonald's french fries. (I'm really lovin' it.) Yesterday morning, we proceeded to trump McD's and bask in the delicious aroma of Starbucks coffee - just the little taste of heaven I need in my life. Then we walked around a REAL shopping mall with air conditioning and modern fashion. My jaw has been agape sense we've landed and I might have been drooling a little. Sky scrapers. Traffic laws. Pretty gardens and parks. Movie theaters. This city is sooooo what I've been missing.

We're off to soak up more city life, which might or might not include a visit to Borders and Krispy Creme. I will update with more Malaysian marvels soon.

I would miss the city so much! You better take it easy when you get back to the US, Starbucks and McDonalds everywhere! You'll gain 200 pounds!
