Voting from Cambodia

I never received my absentee ballot because the Cambodian mailing system is, well, unreliable. Of course I wanted to exercise my right to vote in one of the most interesting elections the U.S. has ever seen, so as usually tends to happen in this country, I had to rely on alternate resources.

I received a tip awhile back that the Foreign Correspondents Club (FCC) was registering people to vote. So I went. I voted. Now I can sit back and enjoy the amusement of the next few weeks of cut-throat campaigning.

Oh, and I bought a my first Cambodian souvenir commemorating my voting occasion. Check out my rad t-shirt. (But I'm not going to tell you who I voted for, hence the censor blocks.)

As for the rest of my weekend, my activities included laying in bed watching movies, getting a thai massage, tasting brain (gross!) and trying to convince a Cambodian that I'm NOT his American girlfriend... mostly a good way to recooperate from the past couple hectic weeks.

That's pretty neat that they have alternative means of getting stuff done. :) And I want a massage!

That's pretty cool that you could vote from Cambodia. I was going to vote absentee too, but now am going to vote in person after an hour drive from work. I hope I get an I Voted sticker, but definitely not as cool as a t-shirt.

The bad thing is that you will never be able to actually wear the T-shirt because we'd all know then!

Oh, I'll wear the shirt... but I've been told not to put incriminating information about myself online lol.
